Each piece is hand-carved from sustainably-harvested mango wood by fair trade artisans in Uttar Pradesh, India — piece by piece, not stamped from a mold, so the grain on yours won't match anyone else's.

Care
Hand-wash with warm water and mild soap; towel dry right away. A stained or rough piece responds to a warm water-and-vinegar soak or a light pass of fine sandpaper — and a few drops of non-petroleum wood oil every so often keeps it from drying out.

Mass-produced wooden cutlery is cut identically by machine. This is carved one piece at a time by the person selling it to you — the small irregularities are the proof, not a defect.
